Its 25 degrees below… Welcome to Canada!

WOW its definitely winter. Snow storms, massive fog and frost bite are the main conditions here this week. Oh and ofcourse we wrap ourselves up well in paper thin lycra suits. Toasty!

Other than the bitter cold temperatures (which is to reach an all time low of -41 celsius by monday) training today was pretty great. We got a good taster of flat light, snowy, rough race conditions and it was super fun.

Tomorrow will be the first day of Downhill. Hells Yeah!!! Then its off to Canmore to lift and kick start our saturday day off by some live music at communitea. Thats right, girls team is hitting up the local hot spot which is a tea shop combined with a music concert… weird? yeh thats what i thought. Apparently not. Crazy Canadians. its going to be wild! Im excited…

Firstly i want to say a massive HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the amazing Kirsten Cooper. I wish i was there to cut up that dancefloor with you tonight!

Having a team is AWESOME!! Turns out theres not much snow here. Luckily theres not many teams so we have it pretty good. Training these first few days has been tough! I have brand new boots which are killer! So much pain. No pain no gain and all that. The sweet thing is after i battered my way down the GS courses, my hip felt solid!
