Your face will fall off!!

“Your face will fall off!” Were some of the first words i heard this morning. “As soon as your skin is exposed to the air up there… it will freeze. Instantly!” I wasnt sure if the waiter at breakfast was simply joking or even worse being serious, but i soon found out right enough, our Downhill training had to be cancelled as it was simply too cold. -50 degrees C during the night has taken a toll on the chairlifts. And like a recent horror movie i watched called ‘Frozen’, i dont want to be stuck on a chairlift anytime soon!

Even with the extreme temperatures and serious frost bite, Everyone has been amazing. The coaches gave us awesome training and we really made the best of it. With the guys teams moved to Lake Louise and the tech girls teams moving to Colorado, its pretty quiet here again. Hmm what should we do today… Swagg Photoshoot? Ok if you insist. Photos to follow soon…

Me and Kelly

It Looks Cold…

I took a downhill gate on my head...

And broke my 2nd helmet of the trip so far… sorry Chems!

We can only see 1 Downhill gate…

But theres all smiles on the chairlift…

This was a mild day…

See what we have to wear to protect our faces!! Kelly personalised hers…

And Chems gave me some whiskers on my face tape..

Strap on the long boards… I got swagg!

After a sweet overnight and day off in Calgary, it was right back to it. Today was my first day of Super G training in 7 months! With alot of terrain and a super fast set, it wasnt easy. The main goal for me was to have a blast! I was thrown around and spat out a few times but i loved it.  Baby steps… i keep forgetting to take baby steps!!! Thankfully it was -3.5 degrees so running full suit was easy… next week however, -35 anyone?

Unfortunately Chemmy’s back isnt holding up too well, but she still managed to rip some turns before calling it a day.

Marie-Pier Prefontaine has recently set up a sweet company- I got Swagg! Alot of the girls are sporting her goods around their necks… watch out for this one!!

This is an advantage of such early mornings…

Incase you are out of the loop- Its Movember! Tom is in full support…

And so are we…

I was THE most enthused fan at the game…

With Steph at the U of C game…

My first football game ever!! Scott you would have loved it…

I got Swagg… Thanks MP!! 🙂

Bring on Super G day 2…
